Harris, who took over the Democratic ticket after President Joe Biden’s July withdrawal, is expected to concede Wednesday afternoon. Throughout his comeback bid, Trump faced significant legal challenges. He became the first U.S. president to be convicted of a crime earlier this year, following a New York jury’s guilty verdict on 34 counts of business record falsification linked to hush money payments. Yet, Trump’s campaign effectively refocused voter concerns away from these issues, highlighting economic anxiety and framing his leadership as a return to security and order.
